Colored F. & A. M. Lodge, Ayrshire, Indiana

June 24, 1921 ~ Pike County Paper

The members of the colored F. & A. M. Lodge at Ayrshire had a big time Sunday when St. John’s Day was celebrated.  The Grand Master of the colored F. & A. M. lodge of the state, William Cain of Seymour, was present and delivered an address.  Addresses were delivered by John Cliff, W. M. of Princeton Lodge and the sermon was preached by Rev. J.E. Todd.  Members of the order from Vincennes, Washington, and Princeton.  The Ayrshire lodge is preparing to build a splendid new lodge hall on top of the hill south of the old store building.

The Ayrshire store sat down across the railroad tracks on Logtown Road.

I wonder if the building roof in the far left corner of this old postcard  is the Lodge?
